All artists participating in THE GALLERY are required to read and acknowledge the following agreement.
This Agreement applies to the Artist’s participation beginning when artwork or other property is delivered for THE GALLERY and continues through installation, storage, exhibition, deinstallation, and until the artwork or property is picked up by the Artist or the Artist’s authorized representative.
Please read the entire Agreement before completing the acknowledgment form at the bottom of this page.
Artist Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
By submitting this form and participating in THE GALLERY, the artist acknowledges and agrees to the following:
The artist voluntarily participates in the exhibition and assumes responsibility for their artwork, displays, equipment, supplies, and other personal property brought into or displayed within the exhibition space.
The artist understands that reasonable care will be taken in providing and maintaining the exhibition space; however, Anthony T. Eaton, THE GALLERY, Wells Fargo Place, building ownership and management, and their respective representatives, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and partners are not insurers of the artist’s artwork or personal property.
The artist assumes the risk of loss, theft, breakage, or damage to artwork or other personal property while it is being transported, installed, exhibited, stored, handled, or removed in connection with the exhibition. Artists are responsible for obtaining their own insurance coverage for their artwork and personal property if they wish to do so.
To the fullest extent permitted by Minnesota law, the artist releases and holds harmless Anthony T. Eaton, THE GALLERY, Wells Fargo Place, building ownership and management, and their respective representatives, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and partners from claims arising from ordinary negligence relating to loss of or damage to the artist’s artwork or personal property or the artist’s participation in the exhibition. This release does not apply to conduct that cannot legally be released or waived under Minnesota law.
The artist is responsible for safely delivering and removing their artwork and display materials and agrees to follow any exhibition or building requirements regarding installation, display, safety, and removal.
By signing or electronically accepting this agreement, the artist acknowledges that they have read and understand this Artist Release of Liability and voluntarily agree to its terms.
